Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities and outdoor spaces. Your expertise in mechanical systems, landscaping, and general maintenance will ensure our environment remains welcoming, safe, and well-kept. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, tree trimming, landscaping, gardening, and irrigation system management
- Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain outdoor areas by performing snow plowing, lawn care, hardscape repairs, and tree care to ensure safety and visual appeal
- Assist with construction projects or renovations by supporting carpentry, landscaping, or other manual tasks
- Conduct inspections of facilities and outdoor spaces to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal or planting to keep grounds attractive year-round
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance or construction environments
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various repair and landscaping tasks
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, edging, and irrigation system upkeep
- Experience with landscape maintenance techniques such as tree trimming, gardening, and hardscape repairs
- Ability to operate equipment like excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles and plant care best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate
