Job Title- Certified Medication Technician
Location- Skowhegan, ME 04976
Shift- 2:00 PM to 10:15 PM
Pay Rate- $18/hr. to $28/hr.
Contract Duration- 6 weeks with possible extension
CMT Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to patients per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patients for medication side effects and report concerns to nursing staff
- Collaborate with nurses and pharmacists to verify medication orders and dosages
- Document medication administration and patient responses in medical records
- Assist with patient assessments and basic care tasks as needed
- Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage and security
- Stay updated on medication protocols, safety regulations, and state guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved Medication Technician training program required
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in medication administration or patient care
- Current Medication Technician certification or license as required by state regulations
- Familiarity with state-specific medication administration laws and standards
- Certifications in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus
