Position Overview:
TOWNSHIP OF WALL, MONMOUTH COUNTY. The Township of Wall seeks a qualified Construction Official. Duties include directs, plans, organizes, and supervises staff and activities concerned with carrying out regulations of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC). Develops the work program with effective/appropriate procedures, analyzes inspection problems, and establishes appropriate work methods. Executes plans for utilization of available funds, personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies. Prepares a budget and maintains balances. Issues construction permits, certificates of occupancy, and temporary certificates of occupancy on receipt of approval of all appropriate subcode officials and other duties as required. Performs the duties of the Floodplain Administrator. Position requires excellent time management, communication, customer relations and organizational skills. Applicants should have excellent computer, mobile technology skills and experience with SDL software preferred. This is a full-time position M-F from 7:30am – 3:30pm. Applicant must possess a current and valid Construction Official License and Subcode License H.H.S. in at least one discipline as issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, multiple inspectors/subcode licenses preferred and a valid and current New Jersey driver’s license. Floodplain Managers’ certification preferred. Benefits including medical, dental and pension.
Salary Range:
- $90,000.00 - $130,000.00/ annually
