Overview
Rothbloom Eye Care, a busy, patient-focused private optometry practice is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Full-Time Optometric Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service and quality patient care.
Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Perform preliminary testing, including: Visual acuity, Auto-refraction, Tonometry, OCT/retinal imaging and Visual Fields.
- Assist the doctor during patient exams as needed.
- Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and eyewear options, including proper care, insertion & removal of contact lenses.
- Maintain exam rooms and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum HS Education or GED +1-2 years of experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Outstanding customer service and communications skills.
- Strong computer and EMR skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Previous experience with contact lens training and education preferred but not required.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
