Position Summary
Global Language System is seeking qualified Spanish Onsite Interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services in 525 N Main St, Wichita, KS. The interpreter will facilitate accurate and effective communication between English-speaking and Tagalog-speaking individuals in professional settings such as healthcare facilities, government offices, community services, and business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation between English and Spanish during onsite assignments
- Ensure clear communication while maintaining the meaning, tone, and intent of the speaker
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled assignments
- Follow all client protocols, professional ethics, and industry standards
- Maintain neutrality and impartiality during interpretation sessions
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and comprehension)
- Prior experience in onsite or in-person interpretation
- Knowledge of interpretation ethics and standards of practice
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and communication skills
- Ability to work in healthcare, legal, community, or government settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional interpreter certification (CCHI, NBCMI, ATA, or equivalent)
- Experience in medical or community interpretation
- 40-hour medical interpreter training certificate
- Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality standards

Compensation
