Important Qualification
Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of dispatcher experience. A current resume reflecting dispatch experience is required to be considered.
What You'll Do
As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in keeping transportation operations running efficiently by coordinating drivers, communicating with customers, and ensuring freight moves safely and on schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule, direct, and coordinate daily transportation operations
- Dispatch drivers and monitor load progress throughout the day
- Maintain accurate transportation and shipping documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and internal team members
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and text communications promptly
- Ensure timely and efficient customer service while resolving transportation issues
- Monitor operational efficiency and make adjustments as needed
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work closely with operations to meet service expectations and delivery deadlines
QualificationsRequired
- 2+ years of dispatcher experience (required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Email
- Telephone systems
- Text messaging and basic office technology
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
