Position Summary
The Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team.
As the primary liaison between our customers and service technicians, you'll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional ownership experience. You'll build trust with customers by clearly explaining vehicle needs, coordinating repairs, communicating throughout the service process, and ensuring every customer leaves confident in the care of their vehicle.

What You'll Do
- Welcome customers promptly with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms.
- Schedule service appointments using dealership scheduling software.
- Prepare detailed repair orders and ensure all customer and vehicle information is accurate.
- Coordinate repairs with service technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicate repair recommendations, maintenance needs, pricing, and completion timelines clearly and honestly.
- Obtain customer authorization for additional repairs and accurately document approvals.
- Provide regular updates throughout the repair process and proactively communicate any changes or delays.
- Review completed repairs and invoices with customers, ensuring all questions are answered.
- Recommend manufacturer-recommended maintenance and services based on vehicle condition and service history.
- Perform or coordinate vehicle walk-around inspections and review multi-point inspection findings with customers.
- Monitor repair order progress to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation within dealership management systems.
- Handle incoming phone calls regarding appointments, estimates, and repair status.
- Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores by delivering exceptional service at every interaction.
- Work closely with technicians, parts personnel, and management to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Follow all manufacturer guidelines, warranty policies, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Help reduce comebacks by ensuring repairs are completed correctly and customer expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- General knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
