Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza styles according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace at all times
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and toppings based on customer preferences and current food trends
- Manage food production processes including dough preparation, topping application, baking, and presentation
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines to ensure consistency in flavor, portion size, and quality
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with food handling, grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation tasks
Experience
- Prior experience working as a pizza maker or in a similar food industry role with a focus on food preparation and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production environments
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and food processors
- Background in culinary arts or related training from culinary schools or hospitality programs is preferred
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced restaurant or catering settings
- Experience with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
