Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of the premises.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Document incidents and prepare detailed reports on any security-related issues or breaches.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during investigations or emergencies.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to first aid, CPR, loss prevention, and other relevant certifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is an asset.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass background checks as required.

Pay: $23.68 - $24.82 per hour
