The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality vehicle cleaning services while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves manual and automated car wash operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
Explain car wash services, packages, and pricing to customers
Safely operate car wash equipment, including automatic wash systems, vacuums, pressure washers, and hand-washing tools
Pre-wash vehicles by spraying, scrubbing, or prepping as required
Dry vehicles using towels, blowers, or other equipment
Clean vehicle interiors when applicable (vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning windows)
Perform basic vehicle inspections to identify pre-existing damage
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Handle cash, credit card transactions, or point-of-sale systems when required
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or customer complaints to management
Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
No prior experience required (training provided)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching)
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and loud equipment

The Car Wash Manager oversees daily operations of the car wash facility, ensuring efficient service, employee productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role combines leadership, operations management, customer service, and basic business administration.
Manage daily car wash operations, including opening and closing procedures
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise car wash employees
Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally
Monitor service quality and operational efficiency
Maintain and oversee proper use of equipment, tools, and supplies
Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for car wash systems
Enforce safety regulations, company policies, and local labor laws
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and order replacements as needed
Handle cash management, deposits, and basic financial reporting
Track sales, labor costs, and performance metrics
Implement promotions, upselling strategies, and service improvements
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the facility
Prepare reports for ownership or upper management
High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in business or management preferred)
Previous supervisory or management experience (car wash, automotive, retail, or service industry preferred)
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
Knowledge of car wash equipment and chemicals (or willingness to learn)
Basic computer skills (POS systems, scheduling software, spreadsheets)
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Combination of indoor office work and outdoor facility supervision
