We are seeking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential care and support to patients in their homes or home health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being and comfort, ensuring that each individual receives the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with home care teams.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing or direct support is preferred.
- Understanding of hospice care principles and practices is a plus.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
- Ability to assist individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities compassionately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams.
- Must be reliable, empathetic, and possess a strong desire to help others.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory upon hiring; training will be provided as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, or home care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- A background in meal preparation or cooking for patients is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a homecare team are essential.
