Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will oversee daily store activities, manage sales teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management principles. The Store Manager will be instrumental in fostering a positive shopping environment, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock rotation to optimize product availability.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational procedures.
- Monitor store financials such as budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, pricing strategies, and sales reporting to ensure profitability.
- Enforce company policies on safety standards, cleanliness, organization, and compliance with legal regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing decisions and negotiate terms to maximize value.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision and operational oversight.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing candidates, recruiting new staff members.
- Demonstrated proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, cash handling, and POS systems.
- Extensive retail management experience including shift management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through managerial communication techniques.
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, inventory valuation.
- Experience with operational management tasks such as budgeting, training & development programs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of retail store product lines and customer service best practices.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
