The Warehouse Operations Administrator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse through efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, customer communication, and administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational accuracy and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders according to order specifications.
- Ensure all shipments are properly labeled, documented, and ready for dispatch.
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all completed orders within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Customer & Administrative Support
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal email inquiries.
- Provide updates regarding order status, inventory availability, shipping information, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer inquiries and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate filing and administrative records.
Inventory Management
- Perform daily inventory cycle counts.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory audits and stock accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist with receiving inbound shipments and verifying received products against shipping documentation.
- Assist with preparing and loading outbound shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and cherry pickers as required (forklift certification is an advantage).
Continuous Improvement
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and the ability to learn Warehouse Management Systems.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties.
