Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of primary care, acute and chronic disease management, and patient-centered treatment approaches. As an integral part of our clinical staff, the Family Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality, compassionate care across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with complex medical needs. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital sign measurements, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Manage a broad spectrum of medical conditions through evidence-based interventions, including acute pain management, infectious disease care, and chronic illness management.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medication administration, and medical records management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as hospitals (including trauma centers), outpatient clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide health coaching and education tailored to individual patient needs across diverse populations—including pediatric patients, seniors requiring memory or dementia care, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing clinical practices and ensuring compliance with NCQA standards and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner certification with current licensure in the relevant state or region.
- Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with proficiency in internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or emergency medicine.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques—including sonography—and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Hands-on experience with advanced procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers (nice-to-have), gastrostomy tube feeding management, and airway management techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical research background or experience working within teaching hospital environments is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities to assess patient needs effectively and deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
