Job Title: Backserver & Service Utility Porter
Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
About the Role:
Phoenicia is seeking a reliable and attentive Backserver & Service Utility Porter to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our front-of-house operations by ensuring our glassware, silverware, and service stations are impeccably polished, stocked, and ready for service. You will work closely with our service and kitchen staff to keep the dining room running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Polishing, sorting, and organizing all glassware, silverware, and service items to high hospitality standards.
- Assisting with dishware breakdown, utility station maintenance, and restocking service areas.
- Transporting clean dishware, ice, and service equipment between the back-of-house and dining floor.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in server stations, trash areas, and utility spaces.
- Assisting with basic dining room setup, resetting tables, and supporting server needs during busy shifts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, banquet, or hospitality utility role preferred.
- High attention to detail with an eye for clean, spotless presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle fragile items safely.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
