Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Obstetric Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology diagnostics, and women's health ultrasound procedures. As an Obstetric Sonographer, you will perform detailed prenatal, gynecological, and abdominal ultrasounds, providing critical imaging support for patient diagnosis and care. Your expertise in operating advanced medical imaging equipment, combined with excellent communication skills, will ensure accurate assessments and compassionate patient interactions. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive obstetric ultrasounds, including prenatal ultrasound examinations to monitor fetal development and detect anomalies.
- Perform gynecological ultrasound procedures such as gynecology diagnostics and gynecological ultrasound assessments.
- Utilize vascular technology diagnostics and vascular ultrasound imaging techniques to evaluate blood flow and vascular conditions.
- Operate medical imaging equipment with precision while adhering to aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Interpret imaging results accurately, documenting findings within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Collaborate with physicians specializing in maternal-fetal medicine, Ob/Gyn, and women's health to provide detailed diagnostic information.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to obstetric and gynecological imaging.
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing concerns with clear communication and empathy while ensuring comfort throughout examinations.
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols during all imaging procedures to ensure patient safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in obstetric sonography with a strong background in maternal-fetal medicine or women's health diagnostics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing breast ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound imaging.
- Familiarity with operating medical imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines used for obstetrics, gynecology, echocardiography, and vascular assessments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and diagnostic radiology practices related to women's health.
- Experience working within EMR/EHR systems and PACS for accurate documentation and image storage.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, patient care protocols, and healthcare safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
