Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will develops and implements individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse and complex needs, adapts curriculum, differentiates instruction, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and manages classroom and support staff to ensure an inclusive environment that promotes growth, independence, and success.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Special Education
- Current PDE Certification, CPSG 61
- Current ACT 48 Certification
- Current Clearances & Background Checks
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, up to 15 pounds at times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Classroom management of Teacher Assistant, 1:1s, & 1:1 Nurses
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and reevaluations (RRs) for students with diverse and complex needs.
- Create and implement meaningful and engaging lesson plans tailored to student goals and needs.
- Adapt curriculum and implement instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including, but not limited to, therapists, nurses, social workers and families, to coordinate student support.
- Maintain ongoing communication with each student’s parent(s) throughout the school year, including writing daily in the parent note section.
- Monitor, collect, and assess student data, adjusting instruction and IEP goals as needed.
- Complete progress reports/report cards for each marking period.
- Manage classroom environment to promote an inclusive, positive, and productive learning atmosphere.
- Supervise and coordinate support staff, such as teaching assistants and 1:1 nurses directing their work in support of daily activities with students, both individually and in groups.
- Effectively utilize teacher assistants to facilitate instructional, educational, and behavioral goals for students.
- Organize and utilize classroom space efficiently to support instructional activities, promote safety, and create an engaging learning environment.
- Implement behavioral management strategies to foster student independence and success.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, team meetings, and other documentation required by school policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on differentiating instruction and inclusive teaching methods that support individual student needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local education regulations related to special education.

Pay: $59,100.00 - $63,300.00 per year
