JOB TITLE: Certified Nurse Aide Instructor
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The instructor will be accountable for delivering course materials in a manner that will be understood by the students. The instructor is involved in the assessment of the CNA program through evaluation of the students and the effectiveness of the curriculum and course materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a schedule of 15-20 hours a week:
- Follow the course curriculum outlines, lesson plans, prepare and deliver lectures, as well as other classroom activities ensuring course goals and objectives
- Keep accurate classroom records and comply with all procedures for submission of such records including the procedure for submitting daily student sign-in sheets
- Evaluate student work in a timely manner
- Track student progress and recommend students for remediation, tutoring, or academic counseling
- Submit progress reports as well as final grades by required deadlines
o Assist in tutoring and one-one instruction of students as needed
o Answer student questions and/or concerns, as well as and provide necessary feedback on student progress to necessary staff
o Provide required remediation to identified at-risk students
o Follow all school policies and procedures included in the SkillsUp Healthcare Institute employee handbook
o Demonstrate and support professional commitment to the school’s mission, vision, and values
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
QUALLIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- NJ Approved CNA Instructor Train-the-Trainer Workshop
- Licensed New Jersey Registered Nurse
- 2 years of experience in a licensed in long-term care facility
COMPENSATION:
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 per hour
No benefits
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
