Minimum Requirements:

Current Valid Certified Welder.

A combination of work experience and/or required credentials in the field they will be teaching:

Minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the proprietary school setting, and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Teaches a full time load (quarter credit is two courses per term; semester see faculty handbook)

Develop and deliver engaging course content, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, as outlined in the course syllabus.

Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grading.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Comply with institutional policies and accreditation standards regarding faculty qualifications and instructional quality.

Complete a minimum of 8 hours of annual professional development training related to teaching or subject matter expertise.

Contribute to program improvement by collaborating with academic leadership and peers to enhance curriculum and instructional strategies. Promote a teaching-learning environment that encourages the academic progress of the students.

Maintain knowledge of the subject matter in the field(s) of appointment and create learning experiences to make the subject matter meaningful and relative to the students.

Maintains the content of the courses updated, and at a top level to achieve the highest standards of academic excellence possible.

Continuously relate the relevancy of all courses within the program to the current course being taught.

Provide, and review with students, a course syllabus on the first day of class that identifies the goals and objectives of the course, the teaching and evaluation methods, and the information and assignments that will be covered in the course

Submit course syllabi and lesson plans, to the Dean of Academic Affairs no later than the first day of class each term/module.

Provide exams and answer key to the Dean of Academic Affairs no later than the week before of the exam date.
