Position Summary:
The Qualified Professional (QP) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of services for residents within the residential program. The QP ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with person-centered plans, licensing regulations, Medicaid requirements, and company policies while promoting the safety, well-being, and progress of each resident.
The QP provides clinical and administrative oversight to staff, monitors treatment interventions, coordinates care with outside providers and guardians, and ensures the facility maintains compliance with all applicable state and agency standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and oversee Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) and treatment goals for residents
- Conduct assessments, service planning, and ongoing progress reviews
- Provide clinical supervision and support to Associate Professionals (APs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and residential staff
- Ensure implementation of therapeutic interventions and behavior support strategies
- Monitor resident progress and ensure services meet identified needs
- Conduct staff trainings related to trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, documentation, and behavioral support
- Review and approve documentation including progress notes, incident reports, behavioral data, and treatment updates
- Ensure compliance with North Carolina licensing standards, Medicaid requirements, and agency policies
- Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings, treatment meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Coordinate services with guardians, social workers, schools, therapists, psychiatrists, and community providers
- Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and emergency response when needed
- Ensure incidents are properly documented, reported, and followed up on according to policy
- Maintain resident records and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and timely
- Participate in audits, surveys, licensing visits, and quality improvement activities
- Support admissions, transitions, and discharge planning for residents
- Maintain confidentiality and protect resident rights at all times
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required
- Must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements
- Experience working with youth, behavioral health, foster care, developmental disabilities, or residential treatment preferred
- Supervisory and leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior management, and person-centered planning
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background checks and trainings

Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule based on program needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents when necessary
- Ability to respond effectively during crisis situations
- Ability to safely transport residents if required
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
