We are a fast-growing commercial construction firm based in Houston, TX seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to join our team immediately.
This is NOT a single-project role. You will manage multiple concurrent commercial projects across ground-up, tenant improvement (TI), and remodel scopes simultaneously.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage 10–20 concurrent commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Build and maintain project schedules; identify risks and implement corrective actions
- Find, vet, negotiate contracts with, and oversee subcontractors and trades
- Perform quantity takeoffs and support estimating and bidding
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and architectural drawings
- Manage full project financials: budgets, pay applications, change orders, RFIs, and closeouts
- Report project status and budget variances directly to ownership
- Coordinate with architects, inspectors, city officials, lenders, and general contractors
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Proven track record managing multiple projects at the same time (not one at a time)
- Experience with ground-up, TI, and remodel project types
- Proficiency in Procore required
- Ability to read full construction plan sets and perform takeoffs
- Experience finding, negotiating with, and managing subcontractors and trades
- OSHA 30 preferred
NICE TO HAVE:
- Asana, PlanSwift, or Bluebeam experience
- PMP certification
- Background in QSR, retail, healthcare, hospitality, or municipal projects
