Powder Coater Pay Rate and Hours:
- $18/hr
- Monday- Friday 7:30am - 4pm
Powder Coater Job Description:
- Powder Coat Technician is responsible for preparing, coating, and curing aerospace components to meet strict quality, durability, and compliance requirements.
- This role ensures all coated parts conform to aerospace specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Prepare wheels for coating, including cleaning, sanding, media blasting, masking, and outgassing.
- Apply powder coat using Parker Ionics powder machine.
- Coat a variety of finishes including solid colors, metallics, clears, and some specialty colors.
- Monitor and control oven temperatures and sure times to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
- Maintain spray booth cleanliness and ensure proper grounding and equipment functionality
Powder Coater Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated critical thinking
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to use hand tools adhesives and Sealants as required
- 1+ year of powder coating experience.
- Strong understanding of powder coating equipment and settings
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot coating issues
- Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours a day
- Ability to lift 40 lbs safely
