Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Two-Year-Old Teacher in the afternoon part-time program! Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and basic math concepts
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote physical development, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns using clear and compassionate language
- Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, standardized testing results, and classroom activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions between activities
- Collaborate with team members to plan lessons that incorporate childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments
- Strong knowledge of toddler care, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
- Proficiency in curriculum development focused on preschool age children with an emphasis on literacy education and physical education
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention methods to support diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws accurately and maintain confidentiality
- First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during all classroom activities
- Experience with childhood development assessments and standardized testing procedures
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and preschool experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that foster math skills and overall child development
