Duties
- Assist in installing electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and panels according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting processes
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to perform electrical tasks accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues related to high voltage or low voltage circuits; perform repairs as needed
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure all work is compliant with safety regulations
- Assist with construction site tasks including framing carpentry, renovation projects, and general handyman duties as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage wiring
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with precision
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
- Knowledge of NEC standards and safety regulations for electrical installations
- Industrial electrician experience or commercial electrician experience is highly desirable
- Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments
- Ability to perform renovation work involving electrical components and framing carpentry skills
- Effective problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in troubleshooting electrical issues
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow detailed instructions
