Summary : This position is classified as a Salesman in training. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Assist in selling and servicing beverages to accounts in the Lafayette, Acadia, St. Landry, Evangeline, Iberia, St. Martin and Vermilion Parish areas.
- Assist all sales personnel with distribution, maintaining a clean market, building proper product displays, prepare proper POS while developing sales skills.
- Stay abreast of all activities occurring within designated market areas and report this to the Team Leader.
- Ensure designated market areas remain free of out dated product at all times.
- Assist in securing the best possible selling position for products in each account (including primary displays, secondary displays, coolers etc.)
- Assist in ensuring all products in the retail trade is within required Anheuser-Busch code date regulations. Also able to monitor and report on competitive activities.
Qualification Requirements The candidate must possess the following:
- At minimal an associate's degree; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Education and /or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be DOT certified and possess a class A (Commercial Driver’s License).
Must eligible to work in the United States.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Maintains a working knowledge of all state beer laws.
