Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, freshness, and nutritional balance in daily offerings
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Set up workstations efficiently, ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are ready for service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and smooth kitchen operations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients with knife skills and attention to detail
- Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring quality presentation and service standards are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service environments preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience in restaurant settings with a focus on fast paced breakfast or lunch service
- Strong food preparation, cooking, and food handling skills with knowledge of kitchen safety protocols
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards is highly desirable
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude
