Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment efficiently.
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service to foster loyalty.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli and café areas, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Prepare fresh food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines while managing time effectively during busy periods.
- Support food handling procedures by following proper sanitation practices and ensuring all food industry regulations are met.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy while processing transactions swiftly to minimize wait times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
