Warehouse and Operations Manager
Job Description:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the catering department’s warehouse operations as it permits to maintaining our company’s expectations in quality, productivity and efficiency. As a member of the operations team, this role is involved in preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of events on a regular basis, requiring a flexible schedule.
Activities and Responsibilities:
Have full ownership of the warehouse department by setting and implementing ideas, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient execution of the department.
Supervise employees by providing feedback, positive reinforcement and suggestions to improve productivity.
Forecast business volume to determine resource needs, expenses and productivity.
Oversee that the warehouse facility is maintained daily within the scope of our responsibility
Coordinate ordering of linens, paper goods, smallwares within budget weekly and monthly
Keep inventory and pars of all smallwares & displayware
Design & standardize what all displays and buffets look like based on menu items and guest count with Director of Operations
Maintain fleet of vehicles and arranges rentals when needed
Assist in maintaining relationships with staff and management team to create a positive work environment
Create truck schedule weekly and maintain as needed
Communicate with Exec Chef on times for all events to ensure proper food delivery and pick up times are met while maintaining our standards of food, beverage and event specifications.
Adhere to established safety and sanitation standards
Communicate with Sales Department regarding availability of last minute orders and add-ons efficiently
Oversees the packout of all events
Manage Delivery Drivers daily tasks and efficiency
On-site staff training and mentoring at events.
Supervise Event Managers and staff as they arrive for events to ensure they are adequately prepared and have everything needed to successfully execute event
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Education or equivalent
Valid driver’s license required
Highly organized and able to work with all groups of people
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable position
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations swiftly and accurately
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays
Ability to perform light to moderate physical skills, and lift up to 25lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
