Hudson Homeworks is a growing furniture restoration and upholstery studio looking for an upholsterer who takes pride in clean, high-quality work.
This is not production work. We focus on custom pieces, detailed upholstery, and elevated finishes for residential clients and designers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Full upholstery on chairs, benches, headboards, and custom pieces
- Pattern layout and cutting (solid + patterned fabrics)
- Sewing cushions, boxing, welting, and inserts
- Installing fabric, padding, and final detailing
- Assisting with breakdown and prep when needed
What we’re looking for:
- Upholstery experience required 2 year minimum
- Attention to detail clean lines, tight work, proper pattern placement
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Someone who cares about the quality of the finished product
What this is NOT:
- Not a fast-paced production shop
- Not rushed, low-quality work
- Not DIY-level standards
Growth opportunities:
This role has room to grow into lead upholstery work and higher-level custom projects as the business expands.
Location: Knoxville, TN
Schedule: Hours are flexible based on workflow and project load. We are a growing shop and workload will increase over time.
