Duties
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC/R service activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Lead installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems , plumbing components, and appliances.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to plan work effectively.
- Perform welding, equipment repair, and mechanical adjustments to maintain optimal system performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes while managing field service operations.
- Mentor junior technicians in technical skills such as HVAC/R troubleshooting, appliance repair, property maintenance, and mechanical knowledge.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Operate a vehicle safely for transportation between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction environments.
- Extensive field service experience with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration boilers, air conditioning units, and plumbing systems,
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, equipment repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and HVAC design principles for effective troubleshooting and installation.
- Prior leadership experience overseeing teams of technicians or managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of property maintenance standards and safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently; experience with refrigerant handling is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating specialized equipment like or similar vehicles is preferred. Pay: $28.78 - $34.66 per hour
