American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Work setting is a 233-bed acute care hospital in an Emergency Department (ER) unit

Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (5:45 AM – 6:15 PM)

Patient ratio of 1:4

Weekend requirement: every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for day shift

No on-call or floating requirements

Epic EMR — experience required
-
Navy scrubs required
-
No parking costs

Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC

Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required

Epic EMR experience required

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required
