Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breeding Manager to oversee all breeding services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong successful history in horse breeding.
Duties
- Mares, foals, yearlings management, training, and care
- Manage medications, worming, vaccinations, etc
- Record keeping
- Live cover mares when possible
- Stallion management, collection, collection training
- Transporting horses to/from clinic when necessary
- Foaling mares, handling new foals
- Training foals
- Coordinate vet appointments
- Conduct ultra sounds, track cycles
- Facilitate communication between staff, veterinarians
- AI and ultra sounds
- Additional management responsibilities
Requirements
- Proven successful experience in equine repo
- Strong knowledge of AI, equine breeding, Ultra sounds
- Familiarity with genetics is required.
- Mechanical knowledge of necessary equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- A passion and commitment to the highest standard of care
