About Us
Yuzu Japanese Sushi Bar is a fast-paced, quality-driven restaurant committed to serving fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine while providing exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and team-oriented Sushi Chef who takes pride in preparing high-quality sushi and maintaining the highest food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, specialty rolls, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards.

Ensure all food is prepared consistently with excellent presentation.

Maintain freshness and quality of all seafood and ingredients.

Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety procedures.

Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.

Assist with daily prep work and inventory as needed.

Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.

Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health department regulations.

Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook preferred.

Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and seafood handling.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain one before starting).
