Sheet Metal Apprentice (HVAC Ductwork)
$18 – $24 per hour

Start your sheet metal career building commercial HVAC ductwork with one of New Hampshire's largest mechanical contractors. No prior experience required — we pay you to learn the trade.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll work on major commercial construction projects across NH, MA, and ME, fabricating and installing the ductwork that moves air through schools, hospitals, office buildings, and multifamily developments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Assist journeymen and foremen with ductwork installation under supervision
· Carry duct sections, fittings, and hangers; stage materials for installation
· Learn to measure, cut, and form sheet metal using hand tools
· Install hangers, supports, and duct insulation under direction
· Learn to read duct drawings and understand routing layouts
· Operate basic shop equipment (shears, brakes) under supervision
· Attend required trade school / classroom training
· Learn SMACNA standards, sealing requirements, and code basics
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
REQUIRED
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver's license
· Reliable transportation and attendance
· Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools
· Willingness to learn
NICE TO HAVE
· OSHA 10 (we'll train if you don't have it)
· Prior construction exposure
· Basic shop class or tech-school experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Lift and carry 50+ lbs.
· Prolonged standing, walking, squatting, reaching
· Overhead work and climbing stairs
· Work at varying heights on ladders
· Pass a pre-employment physical
· Perform in all indoor and outdoor climates
