We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients, utilizing sound waves to create images of hips and spine. This position requires travel to various facilities, providing services to patients in different locations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including musculoskeletal scans.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Position patients and equipment to obtain the best possible images.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians for further evaluation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician. (preferred)
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting images.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel to different healthcare facilities as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
