Duties
Assist lead plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites. Handle and operate various hand tools and power tools safely to cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures. Support the reading of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Help with pipe threading, fitting, and assembly to ensure precise connections according to specifications. Participate in remodeling projects by assisting with demolition, fixture installation, and system upgrades. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with HVAC components, welding equipment, and other mechanical systems.
Experience
Previous experience in construction or related field service roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with construction plumbing techniques, blueprint reading, and schematics enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and basic math skills are advantageous. Knowledge of HVAC systems or mechanical components is a plus for supporting diverse project needs. Carpentry or handyman experience can be beneficial for understanding building structures during plumbing installations. Experience working on construction sites or remodeling projects helps you adapt quickly to the demands of this role.
