FirstExpress has immediate openings for a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice at our service center in Nashville, TN. In this position, you will work closely with our diesel mechanics to learn the skills of truck maintenance and gain on-the-job training. This diesel technician position requires physical exertion and flexibility with hours. Serious inquiries only.
Job Details:
- Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Some Saturday mornings
- Pay starting at $20-$22 / hour
Mechanic Apprentice Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Some knowledge of the electric system
- Tire and lube work
- Brake inspection/repair
- Transflo and Geotabs installation
- Windshield installation
- Prepping new trucks to be put into service
- Prepping sold trucks to be sold
- Engine/transmission diagnose
- A/C repair
- Steering repair
Apprentice Job Requirements:
- Some mechanic experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license
