Duties
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Handle dogs and other pets with gentle restraint and effective animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and trimming to keep animals comfortable and looking their best
- Support veterinary procedures by preparing animals, assisting with examinations, and maintaining a clean treatment area
- Conduct pet sitting duties by monitoring animals’ behavior, providing enrichment activities, and ensuring their comfort during their stay
- Maintain detailed records of animal health, treatments, and behavior to support veterinary documentation
- Engage with pet owners professionally by answering questions about pet care and providing updates on their animals’ well-being
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices
- Experience working in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician assistant is highly desirable
- Ability to perform pet grooming tasks with attention to detail and care
- Skilled in animal restraint methods to ensure safety during examinations or treatments
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large animals or equipment safely
- Passion for animal care combined with a proactive attitude to support team goals

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
