Reece School, a prestigious non-profit special education school for children (ages 5 to 16) with complex developmental delays seeking full time speech pathologist.
- Plans, assesses, and implements speech and language therapy in accordance with CSE mandates.
- Consults with teachers and recommends modifications as needed to classroom programs for individual students and classrooms.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team in the psycho-educational plans for students on caseload.
- Develops recommended summary of progress and goals for IEPs.
- Writes progress reports at mid-year and end year.
- Develops and conducts staff development sessions.
- Collaborates with teachers and implements social skills curriculum in the classrooms.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date therapeutic records that include attendance, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), schedules of therapy, report cards, and session notes for Medicaid purposes.
- Actively participates in the following: parental conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, open school nights, staff meetings and professional development.
- Assists in the admissions process as necessary.
- Qualifications
- NY State licensed Speech Pathologist and NY State school certified. Also willing to accept a CFY.
- 2 years experience in a school preferred.
- Graduate Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
