Sansone Group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at Liberty/TAMBO Apartments, our affordable housing community in Sedalia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with residents, and taking pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning property.
We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual with strong maintenance experience who is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities and working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and complete routine maintenance and repair work orders
- Perform repairs in HVAC, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
- Complete maintenance requests within 24 hours whenever possible
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain inventory control and follow maintenance policies and procedures
- Communicate timely with office staff regarding delays or supply needs
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager with cost-saving initiatives and budget adherence
- Conduct community inspections and report safety hazards immediately
- Supervise contractors and write scopes of work for special projects
- Maintain work orders and purchase orders on OneSite
- Support snow removal and general grounds upkeep
- Ensure the overall appearance, safety, and efficient day-to-day operation of the property
- Provide courteous, professional service to residents, vendors, and team members
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies; wear required PPE
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, appliances, and general repairs
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required
- Must provide own basic tools
- Willingness to work a part-time schedule, including limited on-call, evenings, weekends, and emergency coverage as needed
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong customer service skills
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications for career growth
