Job Title: QUILTER
JOB SUMMARY:
Operates multi-needle quilting machine to produce quilted mattress panels and/or borders. Loads and/or changes materials such as fabric and foam based on law tag requirements. Monitors machine for skips, missing designs, and makes adjustments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sets up quilting machines by loading fabric and foam based on law tag requirements
· Ensures all panels have correct materials and pattern according to law tag requirements and makes material changes as needed
· Measures and sets panel cutting blades, and adjusts panel cutting machine as needed
· Measures and inspects finished panel. Repairs defective panels and/or determines if a new one needs to be produced
· Performs preventative maintenance on machine (cleaning, changing needles, sharpening blades, etc..)
· Returns materials to storage areas as needed
· Achieve hourly production goals
· Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workstation. Sweeps work area and removes debris regularly throughout the shift
· Other duties may be assigned as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
· 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with use of pneumatic tools or automated machinery (preferred)
· Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
· Use required PPE Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses and Gloves
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Lift up to 50 pounds or more with team lifting on a regular basis.
· Frequent and extended standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, and reaching for 8+hours
WORKPLACE & TRAVEL
- This position works out of the Texas plant in a production floor setting.
- Travel not required.

Starting pay rate/yearly salary: $17-$18/hr and an increase to $20/hr once hired on.
