Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cashier and Support Team Member to join our fast-paced Coffee House/Cafe staff. As a vital part of our team, you will play a key role welcoming customers and taking orders and supporting our kitchen staff with dishwashing and food prep. This position is perfect for friendly and outgoing individuals.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items
- Process transactions using Square POS systems, handling cash and credit card payments responsibly
- Serve customers purchased baked goods and other counter items
- Assist Barista with keeping supplies stocked and various other support tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Maintain cleanliness of customer seating areas
- Dishwashing and kitchen staff support
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
