We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of imported goods from suppliers to our warehouse. Experience handling pharmaceutical (Pharma) products is required, as this position involves coordinating imports that may be subject to specific regulatory, documentation, handling, and compliance requirements.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Import Coordinator will be responsible for managing shipping schedules, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies, and maintaining accurate records of incoming shipments.
Duties
- Coordinate and track the importation of goods from various suppliers.
- Coordinate the importation and handling of pharmaceutical (Pharma) products in accordance with applicable requirements and company procedures.
- Communicate with shipping companies and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to imports, including invoices, packing lists, customs paperwork, and other required import documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance for Pharma shipments, including applicable regulatory and handling requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management in the warehouse.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming shipments to verify accuracy, quantity, condition, and proper handling.
- Assist with picking, packing, and loading/unloading of goods as necessary.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to ensure that product availability aligns with online orders.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures for receiving, storing, and processing imported products.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with pharmaceutical (Pharma) products is required.
- Customs Brokerage and Import skills.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills.
- Experience in Air and Ocean Freight coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of import regulations and compliance.
- Knowledge of import documentation processes.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical product handling, documentation, and applicable compliance requirements is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
Experience
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical logistics, Pharma imports, or a warehouse environment handling pharmaceutical products is required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing are essential.
- Experience with order picking, stock management, and package handling is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
