Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician Level 2 to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who already has solid HVAC experience and is ready to take on more responsibility. You will work independently on most jobs, handle complex diagnostics and repairs, and help mentor our Level 1 technicians while delivering top-tier service to our residential, light commercial, and property management customers. Key Responsibilities
- Independently inspect, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems (air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, thermostats, etc.)
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance and recommend energy-efficient upgrades
- Lead smaller installation and replacement projects
- Mentor and assist Level 1 technicians in the field
- Provide professional, friendly customer service and explain repairs clearly to homeowners
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and job sites to the highest standard
- Follow all safety protocols, EPA regulations, and local codes
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential/light commercial preferred)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work in attics/crawl spaces, and handle Florida heat
- Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record
- NATE certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months (preferred)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
Previous experience with mini-splits, ductless systems, and newer high-efficiency equipment is a big plus!
