We're looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Commercial Construction Project Manager who takes real ownership of a project and enjoys being part of a fast-moving, close-knit team.
For two decades, we've partnered with public and private clients to deliver successful ground-up construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across Southern California. As we keep growing, we need a Project Manager who can run point on a wide range of work — new construction and interior renovation, municipal bids and private clients engagements, and someone who's excited to grow right along with us.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time Project Manager role covering ground-up construction and interior renovation/tenant improvement projects for both municipal/public agency and private commercial clients — the mix will shift project by project. We're a fast-growing team, looking for someone who is a team player as this role flexes beyond a typical PM scope: As workload allows, you may be asked to support our sales, marketing, and proposal team, or pitch in wherever the business needs it. You'll be based out of our office in Laguna Beach — a five-minute walk from the beach — with split time in the field across job sites, and the ability to work from home (hybrid model) for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- Manage all phases of commercial construction projects — both ground-up builds and interior renovation/tenant improvement work — from pre-construction through final closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, require adapting communication style and follow up skills
- Coordinate closely with ownership and stakeholders
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor bid packages
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and officials or ownership throughout construction
- Track and manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Lead regular site visits and progress meetings; create agendas & meeting minute
- Report project status to ownership and client
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and applicable contract requirements
- Manage project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, and final sign-off
- Support the sales, marketing, and proposal team as needed — especially during busy growth periods — lending project expertise to proposals, interviews, or client pursuits
- Pitch in on other duties as needed; we're a lean team and everyone contributes beyond their core role when it counts
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with experience managing both ground-up construction and interior renovation/tenant improvement projects. Prior inspection experience is HIGHLY DESIRED.
- Experience with municipal or public agency clients preferred; experience with private commercial clients also valued — this role moves between project types depending on what's active.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Prior construction inspection is HIGHLY DESIRED.
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project is a MUST.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and coordination skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.

Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time, $100,000–$175,000/year, depending on experience.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
