Part-Time Café & Guest Services Manager

Job Summary
Ethic Indoor, LLC. is seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Part-Time Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our on-site café. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing café staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a clean, organized operation. The role will also provide occasional support at the facility's front desk, assisting guests with check-ins, registrations, and basic customer service needs during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day café operations during assigned shifts
- Supervise, train, and support café staff
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, athletes, and families
- Open and close the café, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Monitor inventory levels and place supply orders as needed
- Ensure food preparation, storage, and sanitation standards are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized café and dining area
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Assist with scheduling and staffing to support tournaments and events
- Track waste, inventory usage, and opportunities to improve profitability
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in food service, café, restaurant, concession, hospitality, retail, or customer service environments preferred
- Prior supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests, athletes, and families
- Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Comfortable handling customer questions, resolving concerns, and providing facility information
- Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and basic financial accountability
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing café operations, guest service, phone calls, and front desk responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory control practices preferred
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and tournament/event days
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Food Manager Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working in both café and customer service/front desk environments

Schedule
- Part-time (approximately 15-30 hours per week)
- Evenings and weekends required
