Position Description: The HR Coordinator supports key Human Resources functions including employee relations, compliance, and recruiting. This role helps ensure HR operations align with organizational goals while fostering a positive, productive workplace culture. The HR Coordinator plays an important role in promoting both operational excellence and a mission-driven workplace environment.
Outcomes:
· Maintain 100% compliance with employment laws and company policies on annual audits, following best practices ,reducing risk, and ensuring a fair workplace.
· Decrease employee onboarding < 60 days while improving retention and engagement within the first 90 days.
· Maintain employee engagement reflected by annual improvement in engagement tool score and reduce turnover by fostering a positive and well-supported work culture.
· 100% of separations follow 90-day disciplinary process with documentation.
· Regrettable turnover ≤ 5%.
· All employees complete ≥ 75% of annual development action plan.
Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations & HR Compliance
· Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns when direct communication with the employee’s supervisor has been unsatisfactory, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and HIPAA.
· Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect industry best practices.
· Manage employee records, benefits administration, and HR documentation.
2. Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Training
· Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and hiring processes to attract top talent.
· Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees, including orientation and initial training.
· Develop and implement ongoing training programs to support compliance.
3. Performance Management & Employee Development
· Support managers in conducting performance evaluations, goal setting, and employee coaching.
· Assist in developing career pathways and professional development opportunities for employees.
· Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
· Administer benefits in compliance with company and legal policies.
Job Requirements:
· Availability 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
· Familiarity with HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
· Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
· Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Certified Professional through SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management).
Education and Experience:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Suite preferred.
· 2 years’ experience in HR role or office administration preferred.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
· Society for Human Resource Management certification (SHRM-CP) required within 1 year of employment.
