Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Christian-based lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child's individual needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a preschool or daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong background in childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
- First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
