Responsibilities and Activities:
- Greet a wide spectrum of customers and provide guidance regarding our procedures and service options.
- Process scale tickets on behalf of residential and commercial customers through a point-of-sale system.
- Issue cash and check payments to customers.
- Accurately balance a cash drawer.
- Assist in completing month-end reports.
- Process titles and bills of sale for vehicles recycled through our operations.
- Collect payment for billable services.
- Assist with the tracking of both payables and receivables.
- Help process month-end payables.
- Provide resource support to company employees, issuing supplies and helping disseminate information regarding incidents, attendance related issues, and company events.
- Create contracts for material sales and provide logistical support for outbound shipments.
- Work with human resources in conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and the coordination of enrollment activities
- Assist with the sourcing of applicants for employment
- Support customer and employee engagement efforts
- Provide administrative support for our human resources department and our environmental health and safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned

- Physical capacity to stand for up to an eight-hour shift.

- Must be 100% drug free
Preferred Competencies:
- Cashier experience with experience utilizing a point-of-sale system is strongly preferred
- Experience in customer service
- Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry would be beneficial
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Quickbooks
- Experience in human resources and interviewing is a plus
- Familiarity with occupational safety regulations and best practices would be useful.
- Bilingual is a plus
- A sense of humor is appreciated!
