Overview
Join our healthcare team in Behavioral Health as a Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist! This is an in person role, where you'll play a key part in resolving outstanding insurance claims and strengthening our revenue cycle. We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating claims, working with insurance carriers, and turning aged AR into paid claims.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve outstanding insurance accounts receivable, with a strong focus on aged AR.
- Follow up with insurance carriers on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims.
- Research claim discrepancies, submit appeals, and identify opportunities for reimbursement.
- Review insurance payments, EOBs, and claim statuses to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Document all account activity and communications with insurance companies.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 2 years of medical insurance accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, or medical billing experience.
- Experience working insurance denials, appeals, collections, and aging AR is required.
- Strong understanding of medical insurance claims, EOBs, reimbursement processes, and payer guidelines.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Availity), billing software, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ABA billing experience preferred, but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
